Rolex Sky-Dweller

The Sky-Dweller is Rolex’s addition to the aviation watch market and it has been described as one of the Swiss brands most complicated models. The Rolex Sky-Dweller boasts an impressive list of features and functions. The dial presents an annual calendar and second time-zone feature, which is an attractive element for pilot’s and frequent travellers alike. Impressively, the watch runs on a 9001 calibre with a 72-hour power reserve. The most distinguishable feature of this watch may be the Ring Command fluted bezel. The bezel not only looks good but it controls the functions of the watch by rotating it to different positions. The Rolex Sky-Dweller has continued to maintain and in some cases, increase it’s value since the watch’s release in 2012. Available in combinations of stainless steel, yellow gold, white gold and Everose gold, a variety of dial colours and an Oyster bracelet or leather strap, Bezel Brothers agree that the Sky-Dweller is an attractive and impressive addition to your watch collection.

Rolex GMT-Master and GMT-Master II

The GMT-Master is iconic in the world of watches. The model has a bidirectional bezel and displays two time zones, which makes it a popular choice for business people, pilots and anyone who travels frequently across time zones. The Rolex GMT-Master proves to consistently be favoured by watch collectors. It is one of those watches that continues to appreciate in value, making it a great watch to invest in. The GMT-Master II, the bigger and bolder cousin of the GMT-Master I, displays up to three time zones because of its additional hour hand for GMT time. One of the most recognisable features of the GMT-Master II is the two-tone ceramic bezel. The blue and black version has been nicknamed the “Batman” whereas the red and blue model is famous as the “Pepsi” and the red and black is known as the “Coke”. GMT-Master II watches are excellent investment pieces due to their consistent appreciation in value on the preowned luxury watch market and of course, for their aesthetic appeal.

Rolex Explorer I and II

Rolex designed the Rolex Explorer models with the function of “braving the extremes”. The concept of these watches is that they are tough and hard-wearing, suitable for all sorts of climatic conditions. The original design of the Rolex Explorer I was based on that of the Oyster Perpetual and it has remained almost the same since it’s first release in 1953. It comes in two case sizes, 36mm and 39mm, and displays the time only. The Rolex Explorer II however, released in 1971 has some differences to it’s predecessor. This model has the date displayed on the dial, a larger diameter and a fixed bezel to enable 24 hour time keeping. This feature was introduced to help “explorers” recognise the AM from the PM. The Rolex Explorer II also comes only in stainless steel and with a black or white dial. We like the Explorer models because for their robustness and their minimalist yet classic design. Vintage models also prove very popular with watch collectors and enthusiasts.

Rolex Day-Date

The Rolex Day-Date watch is a truly classic and elegant timepiece. Originally released in 1956, the Day-Date model is famed as the “ultimate watch of prestige”. The watch’s perhaps self-explanatory title comes from the date and full day name feature on the dial. The bezel of the Day-Date can be fluted, smooth or embellished with precious stones and it’s iconic President bracelet was designed specifically for the watch model. The Day-Date has a waterproof Oyster case and a self-winding chronometer. This highly reputable watch is available in either gold or platinum, several case sizes and multiple dial colours. The Rolex Day-Date has been the Rolex watch of choice amongst celebrities and world leaders for decades and one look at the model will show you why. At Bezel Brothers, we believe the Rolex Day-Date is an elegant and luxurious timepiece that can be worn by men or women for generations to come.

Rolex Sea-Dweller and Deepsea

Described by Rolex as “the watch that conquered the deep”, the Rolex Sea-Dweller and Deepsea are diver’s watches that have been designed for deep-sea exploration. Both models have deeper water resistance than the Rolex Submariner, suitable for depths up to 4,000 feet for the Sea-Dweller and 12,800 feet for the Deepsea respectively. The watches have luminous hands and hour-markers to enable use in low light deep-sea conditions. They also feature a helium escape valve to manage deep sea pressure conditions. Indeed, the Rolex Sea-Dweller is the most robust of all the Rolex watches to date. Rolex have designed the Sea-Dweller and the Deepsea by collaborating with professional divers for decades. However, despite the watch’s impressive diving features, we love this Rolex model for day to day use. Importantly, the watches continue to hold their value over time. The Rolex Sea-Dweller and Deepsea come in either stainless steel or half gold and we think that they are a perfectly stylish yet functional addition to your watch collection.
